SARA VELAS

Postcards from Indonesia is a digital series made during an arts residency at the Bali Purnati Center for the Arts as part of the (now defunct) Cultural Exchange International program sponsored in part by the Department of Cultural Affairs of the City of Los Angeles. Created in February 2014 using documentation from travels in Bali & Java, the individual animated postcards were originally sent via email throughout the course of the residency. An aggregate of the postcards has been translated to a video format and can be seen here. Special Thanks to Dwi Kurniawati and the staff of the Bali Purnati Center for the Arts.
